No injuries have been reported in a rock-fall incident at the Stawamus Chief. The incident took place at about 10:50 am, near the Slhanay Peak Trail.
Squamish Search and Rescue, Squamish Fire Rescue, BC Parks, District of Squamish, and Squamish RCMP responded to the incident.
The Mamquam Forest Service Road has been closed, and BC Parks has closed off Slhanay Peak Trail until both agencies can deem areas safe. The closures are anticipated to last until later this afternoon.
