Grab your skates and head down to The Shipyards outdoor Skate Plaza in North Vancouver as it officially opens on December 2.
Located on the waterfront at The Shipyards in North Vancouver, the 12,000 square foot Skate Plaza is the region’s largest covered outdoor skating rink. Using 13 kilometers of piping under the surface to create the ice, the Skate Plaza also uses a CO2 chiller that allows heat from the ice system to heat surrounding buildings.
The Skate Plaza will be open daily to the public from 1 pm to 8 pm with free admission from December 2 through to March 2023. Skate rentals will be available at $5 for children and $7 for adults, along with free helmet and skate aid rentals.
