Man held for throwing objects at car; two men involved in past incidents, police say

January 17, 2023 4:28pm

Squamish RCMP has arrested a man for throwing fishing rod at a car.  The man was arrested yesterday. Police believe two men are involved in such incidents that were reported to police by community members in the past few weeks.

On January 16, at about 3:40 p.m., police received a report of a man throwing a fishing rod at a car that was traveling on Buckley Ave. near Magee St. Officers located the man after a short chase, and arrested him for multiple offences including mischief. He has been released with a future court date.

In a press release, police say at least two men were involved and have similar physical appearance and wear identical clothing.

“There’s been a lot of talk in community about this, and it’s good for us to be able to update that we’ve arrested someone,” says Corporal Angela Kermer, Sea to Sky RCMP.  “Calls to police from community really helped, and we remind people to report to us if they see anything or their safety becomes at risk.”

Squamish RCMP is thanking residents and local media for highlighting the importance of reporting such incidents to the police.

The issue is now you have two suspects …do they have proof against one or was this done in order to botch the investigation.
If they will not be able to prove who was behind the attacks beyond reasonable doubts the question is “who do you press charges against”?
These guys are not as crazy as you think they are!
