Coho Collective Kitchens Inc., a commercial real estate and food technology company, has announced they are acquiring Purebread Bakery, a beloved neighbourhood bakery café with six locations in BC, including Whistler and Squamish.
In a press release, the company said Purebread is known for its exceptional quality and delightful pastries and has built a loyal following in the community. With consistently glowing reviews, including prestigious accolades such as the Georgia Straight’s Golden Plate awards, Purebread has established itself as best in its category, the press release states.

“This reputation is a testament to its commitment to using premium ingredients, artisanal craftsmanship, and creative recipes that capture the hearts and tastebuds of customers. Coho Collective Kitchens is pleased to announce its acquisition of the renowned bakery, uniting their strengths to bring their delightful offerings to a wider audience across the country,” Coho said.
The talented team behind the bakery will continue to operate the 6 locations under the existing brand name. With this partnership, Coho Collective Kitchens aims to extend the bakery’s reach, sharing their mouthwatering treats and spreading joy to communities nationwide.
While Purebread will continue to operate as a separate entity, Coho will provide support to Purebread in areas such as marketing, sales, and finance to help the company, develop new markets, and deliver their exceptional baked goods to more happy customers.
