Police Incident Squamish – One-Man Crime Spree Comes to an End with Squamish RCMP Arrest
Squamish RCMP has arrested one man after a crime spree in the community.
On June 25, Squamish RCMP received numerous calls regarding a man with a large pipe smacking parking signs, plants, vehicle and various other things. The man was identified as Charles Rutledge. He also allegedly yelled at family members, chasing and threatening them before stealing from a backpack and fleeing the area.
Police were able to locate him with the assistance of a police dog. He was arrested and remanded into custody to await court processes on several charges.

Business break-ins investigated
Over the past few weeks, Sea to Sky RCMP has had several reports of businesses being broken into. In two instances, CCTV showed two masked individuals, who used prying tool as a way to gain entry. The suspects were able to get away with stolen items prior to police arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
