The Sea to Sky Squamish RCMP seeks the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in an assault investigation.

On February 7, 2024, at about 1:30 p.m., the Squamish RCMP was contacted by a male victim who had been assaulted in the area of Bailey Street and Summits View Drive.  The victim reported that he was walking his dog when the male suspect, who was also walking his dog, approached the victim and assaulted him.

The victim sustained numerous injuries in the assault.

“We are releasing a forensic sketch of the suspect to identify this individual,” said Constable Katrina Boehmer, Media Relations Office for Sea to Sky RCMP.  “If you recognize this person, please contact the Squamish RCMP’s non-emergency line at 604-892-6100.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian or South Asian male, approximately 6 feet (182 cm) tall, with a muscular build, weighing between 220 to 230 pounds (90 to 104 kilograms), with black and partial facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black toque, a black Arc’teryx shell jacket, black pants, and dark hiking-style running shoes. Additionally, the suspect was accompanied by a leashed, black German Shepherd dog.

Contact the Squamish RCMP with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts.
