The Squamish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced Anne MacKenzie’s appointment as the new Executive Director.

She will join the chamber on March 25. According to a press release from the chamber, Anne has over 20 years of experience in event management and chamber operations. The chamber said she has proven business development, customer service, and operations knowledge.

“A Squamish local, Anne is a strong leader and will be a great asset for both the Chamber and the Squamish community at large,” the chamber said. “The incoming Executive Director will continue to nurture the Squamish business community and actively support sustainability, economic growth, and diversification.”

The Board also thanked the outgoing Executive Director, Chris Fehr, for his hard work over the past year and for assisting in the transition and wished him the best in his new venture.

“The Squamish Chamber team and board will continue to focus on core programs and events over the coming months while working with the newly appointed ED to deliver signature events such as the Ron Anderson Golf Tournament and the Business Excellence Awards.”
