Two restaurants shutting down at Park Royal mall

staff report
March 8, 2024 10:48am

Two restaurants are shutting doors at the Park Royal shopping mall after serving customers for several years.

In a brief announcement, Park Royal said White Spot will close on March 16. The restaurant has been serving its favourite meals for over 60 years. The company has not found any suitable location but is always looking for new sites and opportunities, told local media last month.

Trattoria Park Royal, a popular Italian restaurant in Park Royal South, will close after serving residents for a decade. The eatery is owned by Glowbal Group and has been a favourite among regular diners in the area. However, according to a representative, escalating rent made it challenging to sustain the business. The restaurant’s lease was not renewed. Trattoria will be open until April 16.

Park Royal also informs the community that ramp access from North Mall to Taylor Way Northbound is closed for repair. “We apologize for any inconvenience and thank visitors in advance for their patience while we make these necessary repairs and upgrades,” the mall said.

Unbelievable level of business stupidity, the Mall will let the good brands leave, due to (likely) unreasonably high rent, and than stick a sign “For Lease” for next year or longer…
