The District of Squamish and Squamish CAN organize a KIDS clothing, toy, and book swap event to promote a circular economy and reduce waste.

The event is scheduled for April 6 at The 55 Activity Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents can bring in pre-loved clothes, toys, and books and exchange them for other items their kids can use. To make the process smoother, bagged items can be dropped off in advance at The 55 Activity Centre on April 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. or on April 6 from 10 to 11 a.m.

However, it is essential to ensure that all items are clean and in good condition before dropping them off. Adults’ clothing will not be accepted, as the event is exclusively for children’s clothing.

The leftover items will be donated to local charities and Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to save money and help reduce waste by giving new life to gently used items. Email zerowaste@squamish.ca if you have any questions.
