Speed a factor in crash that killed motorcyclist in North Vancouver

staff report
June 24, 2024 10:14am

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in North Vancouver on Saturday. Officers responded to the accident on Low-Level Road around 10 pm on June 22, Saturday.

Police have yet to issue an official press release, but according to a media report, the motorcyclist died on the scene after crashing into a concrete retaining wall. Several witnesses reported seeing a young motorcyclist speeding eastbound, losing control, and crashing into a retaining wall made of cement and steel on the south side.

“The investigation is ongoing, and speed appears to be a factor,” North Van RCMP said.

“Our sincere condolences to the man’s family during this difficult time. Anyone affected by this tragedy can seek support from our victim services unit at 604-985-1311.”
