Squamish Search and Rescue and Squamish RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Chester Kopyt, a 67-year-old Squamish resident last seen at 3:30 p.m. on November 2.

Kopyt was seen leaving his home on Government Road with his white Maltipoo dog, Roxy. He is described as Caucasian, 6 feet tall, with a medium build, salt-and-pepper hair, and glasses.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. Squamish residents, especially those between Garibaldi Estates and Cleveland Avenue on either side of the highway, are asked to check outbuildings such as sheds, review doorbell or security camera footage, and inspect gardens and bushes.

Anyone with information on Chester Kopyt’s whereabouts is urged to contact Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100.
