Squamish Arts is inviting artists of all levels to take part in its 2025 Anonymous Art Show, opening November 4 at the Brackendale Art Gallery. The annual fundraiser features works created on unique cedar rounds, with each piece sold anonymously until after purchase.

Anyone can register to participate, from emerging creators to professional artists. Registration details are available online — register here. Each artwork will be sold for $100, with $50 going to the artist and $50 supporting Squamish Arts programs such as Amped in the Park, Squamish Arts Festival, Youth Mural Camps, ArtWalk, and Art School.

Artists can purchase a cedar round for $10 at several events: the BAG Night Market on September 16, BAG Open Mic Night on September 18, and the Squamish Farmers Market on September 20 and October 4.

Completed works must be dropped off at the Brackendale Art Gallery between October 27 and 29 or mailed in to arrive by the deadline. The participation form is due by October 29 at 4 p.m.

The exhibition runs from November 4 to December 2. An opening reception and sneak peek will be held on November 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the gallery. The event is free and open to all ages. “This show is a fun way for people to connect with local art while supporting future programs,” Squamish Arts said in a statement.

Artists are limited to one piece each. Works may be 2D or 3D up to 8 inches in size, must be wall-hanging, and cannot be signed on the front. Artists should write their name and title clearly on the back. Most mediums are accepted, but unsold works must be collected by the artist.

Participants receive a complimentary one-year Squamish Arts membership, $50 from the sale of their piece, and promotion through the online gallery. Artists are also reminded to keep their submission secret until it sells.
