
Downtown Squamish will host the second annual Squamish Pride Parade on Sunday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Junction Park.
The parade steps off at noon from Cleveland Avenue at Pemberton Avenue, continuing along Cleveland Avenue to Main Street. According to the news release, last year’s inaugural event drew more than 3,000 people to the downtown core.

“This beautiful demonstration of love and unity matters more now than ever before,” said Trevor Wulff, founder and Pride Squamish president. “We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to show up and celebrate.”
Post-parade festivities include live performances by Sativa the Diva, Amy Grindhouse, and DJ Praiz, roaming performers, a drag story time, and a vendor marketplace. A-FRAME Brewing Co. will present a beer garden serving Rainbow Lake Hoppy Lager, a limited Pride Month release with proceeds benefiting Pride Squamish.
Drivers should note street closures along the route. According to the news release, Cleveland Avenue between Pemberton Avenue and Winnipeg Street closes from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Cleveland Avenue between Victoria and Main Street closing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The official after-party moves to The Copper Coil Still & Grill at 3 p.m., with all-day drink specials and a live DJ. Pride Squamish also hosts a Pride Month launch party at the Brackendale Art Gallery on Friday, June 5, at 8 p.m..
The event is supported by Squamish Arts, the District of Squamish, Vancity, and Greg Gardner Motors.
