Woodfibre LNG has announced the recipients of its 2026 Community Partnership Program, distributing 83 grants to 76 non-profit and charitable organizations across Squamish and the Sea to Sky region.

According to the news release, the company has granted more than $1 million to community organizations in the region since the program launched in 2021.

This year’s recipients include search and rescue teams, volunteer fire departments, the hospital foundation and hospice society, elementary schools and their parent advisory councils, Indigenous organizations, arts and heritage societies, seniors’ programs, food security initiatives, and local sports clubs ranging from minor hockey to rugby to dragon boat.

“The Community Partnership Program is one way we recognize the people and organizations that make Squamish and the Sea to Sky region stronger every day,” said Luke Schauerte, CEO of Woodfibre LNG. “These groups are often the first to respond, the first to volunteer, and the first to create opportunities for families, youth, seniors, and neighbours across the region. We are proud to support their work and to keep building long-term relationships with the community we call home.”

According to the news release, the Community Partnership Program supports registered charities and non-profit organizations located in the District of Squamish and the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District that work in sports and recreation, health and wellness, arts and culture, marine safety, and local search and rescue.

Since its launch in 2021, the program has supported more than 200 organizations across the region, and it received applications from more than 100 organizations in 2026, according to the news release.
