Holiday lights return to Britannia Village with November 27 tree lighting

November 4, 2026 7:46am

Britannia Village will welcome the holiday season with an expanded festive lights display and a tree lighting celebration on Friday, November 27.

Returning for its second holiday season, the village in Britannia Beach will feature new illuminated installations, including giant bears and snowflakes, along with more lights and decorations and a taller tree in the historic village centre.

The November 27 celebration will include carollers, hot drinks, holiday activities for children and the first Holiday Makers Market of the season. The Britannia Beach Fire Department’s vintage fire truck will also be part of the festivities.

Weekly Holiday Makers Markets will take place on Fridays and Sundays, featuring local artisans and artists selling their creations.

The seasonal programming will also include festive exhibitions at Sea to Sky Art Gallery and holiday food and drinks from village businesses, including Beaucoup Bakery, Kawartha Dairy and Autostrada.

Located along Highway 99 between the mountains and the water, Britannia Village includes nine restored buildings from the original Britannia townsite, some up to 115 years old. Buildings and trees will be decorated with holiday lights throughout the village.
