Grizzly bear protection: $8,000 in fines issued near Pemberton

Conservation Officers issued 16 tickets – totalling more than $8,000 in fines – to 14 people for using a motor vehicle in an area near Pemberton that is closed to the public for the protection of grizzly bears.

BC will fund on-the-ground teams in Sea to Sky to fight overdose crisis

Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton are among 35 BC communities that will receive up to $150,000 from the province for on-the-ground community action teams (CATs) to fight the overdose crisis in the province.
