BC Conservation Officer Service have charged a man with Wildlife Act offences for killing a bear with a crossbow.
The bear was killed in the Ring Creek area in Squamish.
The incident happened in the second week of June, said Conservation Officer Ken Popjes.
“The bear was shot in a non-hunting area, and we have laid charges under the Wildlife Act, and we have seized the bear,” Popjes said.
Popjes didn’t specify what charges would be faced by the man.
