Squamish RCMP and Britannia Beach Volunteer Fire Department will be honoring a seven-year-old for her bravery and quick-thinking response after an accident on Highway 99.
On September 9, Adelaide Prince and her Mom were in a serious car accident on Highway 99 near Squamish.
The car went down a 30-foot embankment with Adelaide’s mom trapped in the car.
Both were injured in the crash, but Adelaide managed to crawl out of the car, climbed up the embankment, and waved down passersby for help.
Good Samaritans and first responders from Britannia Beach Volunteer Fire Department, BC Ambulance Service, and Squamish RCMP were then able to rescue the mom.
Squamish RCMP and Britannia Beach Volunteer Fire Department will be honouring her on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at the Squamish RCMP detachment.
