The Squamish Rod and Gun Club has announced a reward for information leading to the conviction of those who poached an Elk in the Squamish Valley road.
Mike Morgan, the president of the club, said the club is offering $ 5,000 for any tip or information that may lead to a conviction.
“We are conservationist and we don’t like to see illegally activity in hunting and fishing,” he said.
Morgan said those who have any information about the poaching can contact the RAPP line to report it.
Morgan said the reward will be available, regardless of the time it takes for the information to come that may lead to conviction.
“The reward is out there and our message is that we support legal, ethical hunting and fishing,” he said.
The bull elk was shot and harvested along the paved portion of Squamish Valley Road. The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between November 1 and 2.
Anyone with information is asked to call the RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277.

Good move always good to hear from the folks that are the responsible gun owners. Nice to hear they have found the way to step to the plate.
