staff report
May 8, 2021 10:10am

Mamquam River bridge will be closed to vehicles from Monday evening for filming.

The ‘Batwoman: The Series” will be filming on the Mamquam Bridge on Government Road and along Centennial Way from Sunday, May 9 until Friday, May 14.

Please expect single lane alternating traffic on Sunday, May 9.

Starting Monday, the bridge will close from 7 pm to 5:30 am, May 10, 11 and 12.

However, pedestrians, cyclists, buses and emergency vehicles will be provided access through the closure.

District is asking people to detour via Highway 99 from Centennial Way and Mamquam Road. A fire permit has been issued for special effects used during filming.

Filming activity will also take place in Brackendale on Saturday, May 8 until Monday, May 10.

Locals can also expect parking and noise impacts at Republic Bikes on Government Road. A noise exemption and a fire permit have been issued for special effects.

“All productions taking place in Squamish are mandated to have a COVID-19 safety plan which is in accordance with the WorkSafe BC regulations for the motion picture industry,” district says.

Please contact the Arts and Culture Department with any concerns at film@squamish.ca.
