BC Transit and the District of Squamish have announced the return of free summer weekend transit service on all local routes.
The seasonal transit route 5 to South Squamish Parks, including the gondola, has also been reinstated.
Both services start on Monday, June 14.
Route 5 South Parks will include connections from Downtown Squamish to the Adventure Centre, Darrell Bay, Sea to Sky Gondola, Stawamus Chief, and Valley Drive.
Route 5 started as a pilot project in June 2018, but was discontinued last year due to COVID-19.
The gondola previously contributed financially to the South Parks service, and pass holders will be able to ride the route for free.
The service will be available seven days a week.
Free summer weekend service on all routes will run between June 14 and September 6 on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.
