Two arrested for break-and-enter at local business

Squamish RCMP has arrested two suspects after a break-and-enter at a business in the 38000 block of Queens Way.

Police responded to reports of a break-and-enter at about 3:45 am on June 9. Two suspects were arrested two suspects as they were trying to leave the area with their break-in tools.

Police released the two from custody with future court dates.

Truck stolen from Lions Bay

Squamish RCMP are investigated a report of stolen truck from Lions Bay.

The theft took place sometime between June 11, 2021 at 6 pm and June 12, 2021 at 12:30 pm.

The truck, a black 2020 Dodge Ram 3500, has a black metal rack back with side rails in the bed, and a rainbow Chrysler licence plate frame.

Squamish RCMP is also reminding that locals can report certain crimes online, including damage or mischief to property or vehicle under $5,000, bike theft under $5,000, theft under $5,000, theft under $5,000 from vehicle and lost property.

    So, on June 9 two people were arrested, then released. 2 to 3 days later a truck is stolen…
