Pemberton traffic stop yields cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl

Pemberton RCMP arrested a man and a woman for possession of a controlled substance.

On July 21, at approximately 7:45 am, Pemberton RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 99 and Portage Road.

During the traffic stop, the occupants were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

The traffic stop also led to the seizure of what police suspects is 1.3 kg of cocaine, 154 grams of heroin, and 14 grams of fentanyl.

The male driver and female passenger were later released on future court appearance.

On July 21, at approximately 6:30 pm, Pemberton RCMP also responded to an incident of a 2-year-old who had been struck by a vehicle in the 2000 block of Tiyata Blvd.

RCMP attended and learnt the young boy had ran on to the street and was struck by a car. He only suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a violation ticket for driving without due care.
