Speed reduction on Sea to Sky Highway in Whistler this week

Utility work planned on the Sea to Sky Highway in Whistler will lead to speed reduction. Work is planned between Spring Creek Drive and Alta Lake Rd for 1.6 kilometres in Whistler.

This work starts on Thursday, March 31 at 9 am and will continue until 2 pm. Shoulder will be closed, and speed will be reduced to 60 km/hr. Utility work is also planned between Emerald Dr and Heliport Rd in Whistler, starting April 4 at 9 am, until April 8 at 4 pm.

Right lane will be closed in both directions.

Utility work is planned between Riverside Dr and Heliport Rd for 1.7 km, about one to three kilometres north of Whistler. This work starts on Friday, April 1, at 8 am and will continue until 4 pm.

Shoulder will be closed, and speed will be reduced to 60lm/h.

    It’s about time!
    That should have being done a long time ago it could have saved lives.
    But never too late….I can’t express how much stress turning south or north has been.
