Snowfall warning for Squamish

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Howe Sound region. Snow is expected tonight and on Sunday morning.

As much as 15 cms of snow is expected before it becomes mixed with rain on Sunday afternoon.

“A low will approach the south coast tonight and rain will begin later this evening. Rain will change to snow as the airmass cools and precipitation intensifies,” says  Environment Canada.

The Province is also advising drivers of snowfall warnings for many of B.C.’s major highways.

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for Highway 1 from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, Highway 3 between Hope and Princeton, Highway 5 from Hope to Kamloops, and Highway 97C from Merritt to Kelowna.
