Woodfibre LNG has announced the opening of the spring intake for its Community Partnership Program for 2024. Woodfibre LNG’s Community Partnership Program supports non-profits that contribute to the community through sports and recreation, education and training, health and wellness, arts and culture, local search and rescue, and marine safety.
In 2023, Woodfibre LNG provided $284,000 in funding through the Community Partnership Program to over 60 local non-profit organizations, the company said in a press release. “This support enabled these groups to accomplish a wide range of objectives, from rescuing and caring for local animals to supporting youth sports and recreation and investing in healthcare,” WLNG said.
Woodfibre LNG invites Squamish charity groups and non-profit organizations to apply for up to $5,000 of funding by May 3, 2024.
“Woodfibre LNG’s Community Partnership Program has been supporting hardworking non-profit organizations in Squamish for many years, and it remains a top priority for us to continue to support the important work of local non-profit organizations in the community. We look forward to receiving your submissions and to continuing to support excellent community programming in Squamish and the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District,” said Christine Kennedy, president of Woodfibre LNG.
“I wanted our veterans to have a place where they can come and feel welcomed and safe. We appreciate the support from Woodfibre LNG in helping us make that place for our members,” said Russ Robertson, President, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 277.
“Squamish is a growing community, and more people are starting their families here. To best support prenatal and obstetric care, the hospital really needed new fetal heart rate monitors,” said Julie Erb, Chair of the Squamish General Hospital Auxiliary Society.
