It’s exciting times at Britannia Beach, where three new businesses have set up shop as part of Adera’s Britannia Beach development.

The latest additions to the commercial village include Beaucoup Bakery & Café, the expanding Eagle Kids Daycare, and the boutique gift shop Copper & Fern.  These newcomers join the popular Copper Beach Bar + Kitchen and a grocery and liquor store that adds to the village’s convenience.

On Saturday, September 14th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Britannia Beach Community Event will take place, celebrating these new beginnings.  Beaucoup Bakery will delight attendees with their pastries, while Copper Beach Bar + Kitchen offers a burger and beer special, all set to the tune of live music.

The nine restored buildings, once left to weather the elements, now host a variety of businesses that preserve the town’s character while offering new amenities, the company said in a press release.

The Beaucoup Bakery & Café, which has two other locations in Vancouver, brings its famous pastries and unique sweet and savoury creations to Britannia Beach. For families, Eagle Kids Daycare is expanding from Squamish to provide much-needed childcare services to the growing community. Copper & Fern, a boutique gift shop, will offer a curated selection of locally made products, from wellness items to home goods.

The revitalization comes at a time when the community is seeing a renewed interest in its historic roots.

“This is an exciting time for Britannia Beach,” said Eric Andreasen, Senior VP of Marketing & Sales at Adera Development. “These businesses are more than just new additions; they’re helping to create a sense of place where people can come together, shop, and connect with the area’s rich history.”

“The commercial village in Britannia Beach is truly one-of-a-kind, featuring beautifully transformed historic mining-era buildings that foster connections among residents and visitors, allowing them to shop and appreciate the area’s rich heritage. The seaside historic village has already experienced a remarkable transformation, and we can’t wait to watch the community thrive even more as new residents move in and local businesses continue to open.”
