District Public Works senior staff met with Council today to discuss the need for emergency repairs required at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

When the District of Squamish snowplows missed her street, one Squamish citizen had to plead with the district several times before the district responded. This is the second year this has happened and she hopes the district will be more efficient next year.

It was suspected that the Cougar had been living under a nearby house and eating pets, the RCMP said.

The District of Squamish has bought a new snow removal machine, a heavy duty, narrow (around 48” wide) machine that can easily fit on trails and sidewalks.

Paradise Valley and Squamish Valley traffic will encounter delays on Thursday, November 16, 2017 due to urgent CN rail maintenance just south of the Cheakamus River bridge at mile 46.9 on the Squamish Valley Road.
