The District of Squamish requested the riparian work, which Lalli says is now complete, while the duplex project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

The press release says the restoration involved considerably more than landscaping. It required removing accumulated construction waste and invasive vegetation, carefully preparing the ground, introducing native trees and shrubs, restoring natural habitat features, and taking measures to protect the area from erosion and future disturbance.
According to the press release, the objective was to improve the ecological function of the riparian corridor, encourage native vegetation growth, and create a healthier, more sustainable natural environment for the future.
The press release thanks the District of Squamish for its guidance and cooperation, and names Karlene Loudon of CoastRange Environmental Ltd., the environmental consultant; Frontera, the geotechnical consultants; Bunbury and Associates Land Surveying Ltd.; Justine Billon of JB Horticulture, the landscaper; B and B Contractors; and Baljit Nagra, the builder.
“I am extremely grateful to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and hard work to bring this project to completion. It truly took a team effort, and I would like to thank the District of Squamish and all the professionals and trades involved for their cooperation, patience, and commitment to achieving such a positive environmental outcome,” Lalli said.
