No Trails Closures in Town, but Be Extremely Vigilant: District

The District of Squamish says there is no planned trail closure at this time. Any such decision by Squamish Fire Rescue within District of Squamish boundaries will follow a decision made by the provincial Coastal Fire Centre as the lead agency and subject matter expert in this area, and there is no such plan currently.

DOS to Install Water Meters by Spring 2018

Up to 160 water meters will be installed in existing buildings by spring 2018, with additional meter installations planned for the following year.

Squamish RCMP were notified that Nile Sinnes had been located by police in Alberta and he was safe and sound. Sinnes immediate family has been notified.

Police Seek Public Assistance to Locate Missing Local

Squamish RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating Niles Sinnes, a local resident of Squamish. Sinnes was last seen on the evening of June 18th, 2017.
