Squamish receives $3.9 million in federal funding for dike upgrades

The grant will fund the full estimated cost to upgrade 1.2 kilometres of Squamish River dike at the Upper Judd Slough in the Brackendale area. Work on the project is expected to begin this summer.

Police tow dirt bike, issue violation ticket in Brackendale

The driver was identified and issued several Violation Tickets under the Motor Vehicle Act and the Off Road Vehicle Act.  The dirt bike was also towed for not having insurance.

DOS to hire firefighter, police officer

District of Squamish will hire a new firefighter and a police officer to meet the growing needs of the municipality. The positions will be filled in May and July in order to spread the tax impact of the positions over the two years.
